Fix What's Broken and Drive More Business Organically

This deck covers what we found across analytics, messaging, site structure, SEO, and AI visibility — and the path to reverse it.

Audit illustration

01 — Summary

What we found, at a glance

Six areas we audited, plus what we learned about your audience. Each is fixable — and most reinforce each other once we start.

1

Analytics Broken

GA and Google Search Console disagree on traffic scale and decline. GSC has stopped recording. You need an owner ensuring good data and data-driven strategy.

2

Messaging Inconsistent

Core values and key messages aren't defined — and aren't used consistently across the site.

3

Site Needs Human Touch

Resources are hard to find. Personal branding and social proof are nearly absent.

4

Need More CTAs

Middle-of-funnel needs a value-add CTA. Bottom-of-funnel needs an actual Quote Request form.

5

SEO is Struggling

Organic traffic is tanking — and you never ranked well for most highly relevant terms in the first place.

6

AI Answer Visibility Low

Tape Innovations has poor visibility across the prompts your buyers are actually asking AI.

7

Your buyers use AI more than most Americans

Personas skew below average on social platforms and well above average on AI tools — Claude especially. A clear case for SEO + GEO with technical content.

02 — Site Structure & Analytics

The site is leaking traffic at every stage

Site structure is strong — but messaging and CTAs need work. Tracking is broken at the top, ambiguous at the bottom, and almost entirely missing in the middle.

Analytics are broken

GA and GSC disagree about the scale of organic traffic and percent decline. GSC has not recorded data in months — it was connected to the www subdomain, but the Feb 11, 2026 migration moved the site to non-www without updated canonicals, meta, or schema. Sitemap wasn't submitted until April 30 (by us). For 2.5 months, Google had no clear crawling guidance — and a March Google algorithm update landed right in the middle of it.

On top of that, GA data is split across two inconsistent properties (one stopped tracking mid-December) and GA Key Events are misconfigured — form_submission only fires on Careers.

Page type performance (last 60 days)

Materials, Services, and Applications pull comparable views. Industry pages underperform. Conversion is essentially unmeasured outside Careers.

Page TypeViewsKey Event Conv. Rate
Home2,0990.00%
Materials5710.00%
Services4520.00%

About2390.00%
Industries1630.00%
Careers15427.92%
Resources920.00%
Design Tool290.00%

The consideration stage is invisible

Tracking is heavy at the top of the funnel and the very bottom — but inconsistent. Form submissions are an ambiguous metric (a generic "Contact Us" form catches everything from random inquiries to urgent quote requests). Engagement with service- and application-specific pages — and the Application Design Tool — is not measured at all.

We recommend four CTAs used consistently across the site:

  • TOF: Explore Applications
  • MOF: Spec My Material
  • MOF: Read Case Study
  • BOF: Get a Quote in 24 hours

No social proof. No personal branding.

Zero testimonials. No quantified outcomes, no named customers, no OEM logos, no ratings. People buy from people — especially in B2B — but no leadership appears or is quoted on the site. The only named individuals are on the Contact page and inside the SmartCap case study PDF, with no photos, bios, or LinkedIn links.

03 — Values & Messaging

Your values are the soul of your company

When core values are clear to you, messaging becomes dramatically easier — and the whole site starts pulling in one direction.

Core values are…

IntangibleIntrinsicUniversalRitualized

Right now it's not clear what Tape Innovations' core values are. Define them on About and/or Careers. Show them in how you communicate everywhere else.

Messaging principles
  • Put your customer at the center of the story
  • Talk about the why, not just the what
  • Describe the consequences of having or not having a feature — don't just list it
  • Segment your messaging to match your distinct audiences
  • Say something a reasonable person could disagree with — wake the reader up
  • Be consistent. Even relentless.
Where the Tape brand stands today
  • Doesn't know who it is
  • Can't decide what customers care most about
  • Lacks consistency across the site

04 — SEO

Rankings are tanked — but the runway is real

The site has authority (DR 15) but no rankings to show for it. The high-opportunity keywords in your industry have meaningful volume and low difficulty.

Ahrefs Technical SEO Site Health

A 75% score means there are back-end errors that need fixing before the rest of the SEO work can fully pay off. We target 95% or higher.

The takeaway: Tape Innovations is nowhere near ranking among the top domains by traffic share in your space — but you have the domain authority to compete. The gap is content and on-page execution, not credibility.

Traffic by source (90d YoY)

Sessions down 16% overall; key events down 79%. Organic search sessions are down 19% — and the channel is barely measurable below that.

Reviews are recent — that's good. The profile has photos but no humans, no Products, no Services listed. For comparison, Marking Systems Die Cut (Garland, TX) shows 46 reviews at 4.8 — the gap is volume, not quality.

05 — AI Answer Visibility

06 — Technical AEO

Your structured data is broken sitewide

Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) starts with valid structured data. Right now, none of yours is doing its job.

Sitewide Yoast staging-URL bug

Across all 45 URLs audited, every accessible page outputs WebPage JSON-LD whose @id and url point to tapeinnovations.mystagingwebsite.com. Google's structured data parser attributes every WebPage entity to a domain that doesn't exist — nullifying entity linking across the entire site.

Service pages are your highest commercial-intent pages

Each one should carry Service schema with name, description, provider, serviceType, areaServed, and offers. Process-heavy services (die cutting, laser cutting, waterjet) should add HowTo schema for "how to" featured snippets. FAQPage schema goes on any page with an FAQ section.

Recommendations

  1. 1Fix the WebPage configuration error (Yoast pointing to staging domain sitewide)
  2. 2Add FAQ schemas on Industry, Service, Application, and Material pages
  3. 3Add Service schema on every /services/[slug]/ page
  4. 4Implement Organization / LocalBusiness schema on the homepage

07 — Audience Analysis

Your buyers use AI more than most Americans

And they use social media less than most Americans. This suggests a strategy focused on driving reach through SEO and GEO using technical content.

Mid-career decision-makers (30–50)

Most buyers sit in experienced, decision-making roles — engineers, PMs, ops leaders, product developers, supply chain.

Search-first behavior

Every persona leans heavily on search to research vendors, materials, and solutions before reaching out.

Practical, technical content

Strong preference for how-tos, specifications, and real-world applications. Industry pubs (IndustryWeek, Manufacturing.net, SME, Assembly Magazine) are central.

Where this audience diverges from the US average

Each cell shows usage vs the US average for that platform. Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit are consistently below average, while every AI platform runs above — and Claude is 100–185% higher than baseline across every persona.
